Dr. Fernandez grew up in La Habra, California, and graduated from Servite High School in Anaheim. After a brief stint at Whittier College, Dr. Fernandez moved to Mexico City as a young man. There, Dr. Fernandez earned his Bachelor of Science degree from La Salle University in Mexico City, Mexico. He then pursued his Medical Degree and graduated from La Salle’s Medical School in 1981. 

Dr. Fernandez did his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at St. Mary’s Health Center in St. Louis, MO from 1983-1986. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and started his practice in Laguna Hills in 1986.

Dr. Fernandez and his family live in South Orange County. He enjoys the ocean, camping, sailing, and woodworking.
