A native of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Pierce went to Loyola University and graduated with his Bachelors Degree in 1965. In 1969, he graduated with his Medical Degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Pierce completed his Internship at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center, and his Residency at Wadsworth Veterans Administration Hospital in Los Angeles as well as USC
Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Pierce is married to his wife Irene, has three children, and five grandchildren.
