Dr. Shen is an interventional cardiologist, performing invasive procedures such as angioplasties, pacemaker implants, cardiac catheterization and stent placements.  He earned Bachelor's Degrees in Biology and French from Washington University College of Arts and Sciences in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Shen then obtained his Medical Degree from Washington University School of Medicine.
 
Dr. Shen has had many articles and commentaries published. He is particularly interested in preventive cardiology, coronary angiography and interventions, permanent pacemaker implantations, and transesophageal echocardiography.
